The Punchbowl is a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy themselves.

It's an easy drive from both the L.A. Basin and the Antelope Valley, but clear of smog, quiet and uncrowded.

There is a small stream running through the bottom of the ravine, between the amazing rock formations that attract climbers from hundreds of miles away.   The trail going down into the ravine is steep, but an easy enough 1-mile loop for entire families to traverse.

The Angeles Forest surrounding the park has dozens of well-documented and fairly well-maintained hiking and biking trails.
